Unless you have enough money in the bank to pay cash for a house, getting pre-qualified is the first thing to do when you are thinking about purchasing a home. This will let you know what price range and programs you are eligible for, and we have to have this in place before we are able to show you, or help you put an offer in, on any home.
Most of my clients choose to get pre-approved through Ben Deluca with Winterwood Mortgage, who can get people approved down to a 580 credit score, and has flexible programs on low down payment options. You can start the application with Ben by filling out his online application at http://www.winterwood.net/ben-deluca, or by calling him at 317-439-8084 .
You have the ability to choose any lender to secure financing. Other sources are Chase (www.chase.com) or Bank of America. (www.bankofamerica.com) However, I am not familiar with their programs, and do not either recommend, or not recommend, their services…
Once you are pre-qualified, we will set you up for a search directly through our Realtor listing service so you can see all homes available in your price range in the area you would like to be in, go out and see the ones you would like to see, and figure out which one you like the best.
